North Macedonia's capital city airport wins service quality award

SKOPJE, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The International Airport of North Macedonia's capital city Skopje was awarded for the fourth time as the Best Europe Airport under 2 million passengers in service quality for 2018 by the Airports Council International (ACI), airport officials reported on Wednesday.

Skopje International Airport won the 2018 Airport Service Quality Award in a competition of 23 airports in the European region.

The general manager of the airport, Alper Ersoy declared that the award proves the commitment in providing high-quality services to passengers.

"This is the fourth time we won this prestigious award, which is considered a criterion of global quality customer service, following the awards received in 2012, 2013 and 2015," said Ersoy.

According to the airport data, more than 2.35 million passengers traveled through Skopje and Ohrid Airports in 2018, an increase of 15 percent compared to 2017.
