JAKARTA, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian police's anti-terror squad of Special Detachment (Densus) 88 arrested two terror suspects plotting attacks on police facilities in Lampung, West Kalimantan province, and in capital city of Jakarta, National Police Headquarters Spokesman Dedi Prasetyo said here on Monday.

Prasetyo said the arrests of the suspects, identified as Rinto Sugianto and Panji Kumbara, were conducted on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

"Rinto and Panji have plans to attack police," Prasetyo said in his office.

He said police anti-terror squad members confiscated bombs and explosive materials from Panji during the arrest.

"We managed to seize assembled bombs and several half-processed bombs at that time. We also found shrapnels, potassium and several sharp objects to assemble bombs," Prasetyo said.

According to the official, the assembled bombs found in Panji's residence were similar to the ones used by members of homegrown terrorist group of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) in their attacks in the country.

Last year, Indonesian authorities banned JAD and sentenced its leader Aman Abdurrahman to death for master-minding several terror attacks.

Investigations on the duo have been underway.
