Tunisian coast guard seizes fishing boat carrying 12 illegal immigrants

TUNIS, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Coast Guard seized a fishing boat carrying illegal immigrants before crossing the Tunisian waters, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said 12 people on board were arrested, including two women and a six-year-old boy.

The rest of the illegal immigrants range between 20 and 46 years old, the statement added.

Three of the arrested have run away from court ruling over charges of violence and damaging others' possessions.
