ADDIS ABABA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- The Ethiopian government announced on Tuesday that an armed attack in the country's central Oromia regional state has left five people dead.
The armed attack occurred on Tuesday morning in Nejo district of West Wollega zone of Oromia regional state, said a press statement from Oromia regional state Communications Affairs Office.
The statement further said three of the victims are Ethiopian nationals while the rest two are foreigners.
The statement did not disclose the identity of the foreign victims and possible suspects in the armed attack.
However, the Ethiopian government has accused fighters affiliated to a rebel group Oromo Liberation Front of conducting deadly attacks on civilian and military targets in the area in recent months.
