ADDIS ABABA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopian Airlines Group on Tuesday disclosed a direct thrice weekly flight to Istanbul, Turkey as of April 1.
The new launched flight route to Istanbul marked the Ethiopian flag carrier's 19th destination in Europe, and augmented the number of passenger flights to European cities to 57 per week, the airlines said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the airline, with Turkey being one of the fastest growing countries among the emerging economies, availability of seamless connectivity options will facilitate the channeling of investors and enhance business ties between Africa and Europe.
The airline is currently serving 119 international destinations across five continents operating with aircrafts of an average fleet age of five years.
