PARIS, March 21 (Xinhua) -- French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said Britain would face a disruptive departure from the European Union (EU), if British Prime Minister Theresa May loses a third parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal next week.

"We must be clear, to ourselves, our British friends and our people," Macron wrote on his Twitter account. "The withdrawal agreement can not be renegotiated. In case of negative British vote, we will be heading towards a no deal," he added.

After her accord on a divorce with the European bloc was twice-rejected by parliament, British PM May, on Wednesday, demanded President of the EU Council Donald Tusk to postpone Brexit until June 30, in a further attempt to persuade lawmakers to support her Brexit deal.

EU leaders, on Thursday, gathered in Brussels to forge a common response to May's request during a 24-hour European Council summit.
