Indian anti-submarine warship docks in Malaysia for military expo

NEW DELHI, March 26 (Xinhua) -- An Indian Navy's warship has arrived in Malaysia to participate in the 15th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA-19), naval sources from New Delhi said on Tuesday.

Vice-Admiral Karambir Singh would also be attending various engagements as part of "LIMA-19" as head of Indian Navy delegation.

The anti-submarine warfare (ASW) ship INS Kadmatt would be participating in numerous activities planned as part of "LIMA-19" during seven days in Langkawi, including the International Fleet Review (IFR) by the prime minister of Malaysia, maritime and air demonstration, sea exercises with other participating navies, cultural exchange programs, cross visits to ships and sporting events, said a statement issued by India's Ministry of Defence.

Numerous seminars and interactions are also planned on the sidelines of the main exhibition.

INS Kadmatt is an indigenous stealth anti-submarine warfare corvette and was commissioned into the Indian Navy in January 2016.
