SKOPJE, March 26 (Xinhua) -- North Macedonia's President Gjorge Ivanov refused to decree three laws passed by the Parliament, local media reported on Tuesday.
Ivanov refused to sign and send back to Parliament the Law on Protection Against Discrimination, the Law on the Operational Technical Agency and the Law on Electronic Communications.
Ivanov said that he would not sign the laws due to his "solemn vow to protect the Constitution and the interests of the country."
While commending on the refusal to endorse the laws, the ruling SDSM lawmaker Jagoda Shahpaska said the president was undermining the efforts for the protection against discrimination.
Under the regulation the laws will be voted again by the Parliament and after being adopted will be publicized on the Official Gazette.
