MINSK, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Belarus' foreign debt amounted to 16.7 billion U.S. dollar as of March 2019, the country's Finance Ministry said on Friday.
The foreign debt amounted to 16.7 billion U.S. dollars, decreasing by 0.2 billion dollars or 1.3 percent from the beginning of the year, the ministry said.
In January and February, Belarus attracted external loan of 139.8 million dollars. For the first two months of 2019, Belarus spent 410.9 million dollars to repay foreign debt.
As of March 1, domestic public debt amounted to 8.6 billion Belarusian rubles (4 billion U.S. dollars), decreasing by 2.7 percent from the beginning of the year.
