Delegation of China's political advisors visit Cuba on ties

HAVANA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of Chinese political advisors paid a visit to Cuba from Sunday to Tuesday to push forward the two countries' cooperation and better develop bilateral ties.

At the invitation of Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), the delegation, headed by Shao Hong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Cuban First Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa, ANPP's President Esteban Lazo Hernandez and Vice President Ana Maria Mary Machado.

Shao introduced the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the 2019 annual plenary sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the CPPCC, as well as Belt and Road cooperation.

The Cuban leaders spoke highly of the two countries' relations, saying that Cuba is willing to strengthen Cuba-China ties and further advance cooperation between the two sides.
