4 confirmed dead in North Macedonia plane crash

SKOPJE, April 3 (Xinhua) -- North Macedonia's Interior Ministry confirmed on Wednesday that all the four people on board the small plane died when it crashed on Tuesday near Solunska Glava in the central part of the country.

The plane was flying from Ohrid, a city in the southwest of North Macedonia, to Sofia, Bulgaria. All four were Bulgarians.

According to the Ministry, police found the wreckage of the Cessna P210N aircraft on Tuesday evening five kilometres northwest of Solunska Glava peak.

The plane disappeared from radars at 4:16 p.m. local time on Tuesday. The pilot had reported severe turbulence before the aircraft went missing.

Investigation into the fatal crash is underway.
