Cambodian king returns home after regular medical checkup in Beijing

PHNOM PENH, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and his mother, former Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, returned home on Sunday after spending three weeks in Beijing, capital of China, for a routine medical checkup.

At the Phnom Penh International Airport, the royal family was warmly welcomed by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian as well as other dignitaries.

During his stay in China, besides the medical checkup, King Sihamoni had also met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Sihamoni, 65, usually has his health checked up in Beijing twice a year.
