Namibia calls senior women netballers for camp

WINDHOEK, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Namibia has called up 34 senior women netball players for the training camp ahead of the 2019 edition of the Debmarine-Netball Pent Series slated for Windhoek from May 7 to 12.

The southwestern African country's netball body extended invitations to Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Netball Namibia public relations officer, Conny Samaria told Xinhua on Tuesday.

Malawi will participate for the first time. The tournament saw Uganda make their first appearance last year.

Last year, Namibia won the tournament for the first time after beating Zambia. Zimbabwe had the inaugural triumph in 2017.
