LAS VEGAS, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese security companies are seeking more trade opportunities in the American market at the ongoing International Security Conference and Exposition, or ISC West, here.

A total of 154 Chinese companies, from sectors including surveillance, smart homes, access control and border security, are participating in the annual show from Wednesday to Friday, the largest security industry trade show in the United States.

Liu Chun, vice president of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), told Xinhua it is the 18th time that the organization has organized such event.

"We value the huge security market in the United States, and hope to take the opportunity of the ISC West to help Chinese enterprises to explore more businesses with American partners," Liu said.

Through face-to-face exchanges, the Chinese companies could better understand the requirements of their American clients, and improve their products accordingly, she added.

During the exhibition, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the CCCME held a China Brand Show to introduce the latest Chinese security products and technology to foreign purchasers, which serves as a platform for Chinese companies to negotiate business with U.S. partners.

Jack Mao, CEO of Hisource, a high-tech manufacturer of PoE Switch from China, told Xinhua the company has cooperated with some U.S. enterprises in the areas of smart homes, smart cities and the Internet of Things since 2018. Hisource expects to further explore global markets, and improve international competitiveness of its products.

George Bonnett, CEO of Alarm Men, a company based in Visalia, California, told Xinhua the company is interested in buying Chinese security products, and has contacted two Chinese companies during the trade show.

The Chinese products have good quality, good techniques and good prices, and are very competitive, he said.

The ISC West 2019 attracted over 1,000 global exhibitors and brands in the security industry and over 30,000 security professionals. They focused on best practices, new technologies, and innovations on security and safety.
