ATHENS, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Two men lost their lives in two hiking accidents in Greece, local authorities reported on Sunday.
The body of a 39-year-old Greek was located in a gorge on mountain Tymfi in northwestern Greece, the Fire Brigade said.
The victim, a police officer and father of four children, fell in the gorge while hiking with two of his friends on Saturday, the day of his birthday.
Greek firemen also retrieved the body of another hiker on Sunday from a mountainous area in Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece near the town of Leonidio, 120 kilometers southwest of Athens, the Fire service said.
