NEW YORK, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Some 20 Chinese fashion brands and labels will be assembled to display at the upcoming China Chic Pop-up, which is scheduled to kick off on Friday in a New York City landmark to celebrate China's booming fashion industry.

To be held at the 106-year-old Vanderbilt Hall inside the historic Grand Central Terminal, the event will see a 6,000-square-feet (557 sq meters) space transformed into an innovative interactive experience with three themed areas -- Fashionista, Beauty and Lifestyle, and a photo booth with Instagrammable opportunities.

Participants include Asia's influential designer Lanyu, jewelry designer Jade Chiu, and award-winning luxury luggage maker TUPLUS. Globally-renowned Chinese-born designer Vivienne Tam will also have an installation featuring three iconic dresses from her archive.

The event is organized by Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund (CBCF) as a central part of the fashion icon's mission to increase visibility of Chinese brands in the United States, and title-sponsored by Play Lounge, a leading Chinese fashion destination which carries over 500 designer labels.

Fifteen percent of sales from the pop-up will be donated to the CBCF, which was established in 2011 in honor of the Chinese American TV-producer and entrepreneur Yue-Sai Kan by the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation.

CBCF is dedicated to the betterment and advancement of women and children through education, health and cultural programs worldwide.

The pop-up will open through April 30.
