BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on Tuesday sent separate messages of condolences to the president and prime minister of Sri Lanka following Sunday's series of bombings that have left mover then 300 dead and over 500 injured.

Hassanal Bolkiah, in his messages to Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, said he was saddened with the tragic loss of lives caused by the bombing attacks.

"Brunei Darussalam strongly condemns such acts of violence against civilians which have led to the tragic loss of innocent lives and caused injuries," he said in his message to Sirisena.

"My government and the people of Brunei join me in offering our deepest condolences to you, the government and the people of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, especially to the bereaved families of the victims," he said in his message to Wickremesinghe.
