TIRANA, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Albanian police arrested one person accused of being involved in terrorist acts in the central Albanian city of Elbasan, police said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement of the General State Police, the arrest of Bledar Ibrahimi was made by the Directorate of Anti-terrorism in cooperation with Interpol Tirana and the Police Directorate of Elbasan.
The Interpol Office in Rome, Italy declared an international arrest warrant for Ibrahimi on April 15 this year, issued by the Italian Prosecution Office in March 2019 for the criminal offense of "participation in a terrorist organization".
Ibrahimi, 28, is accused of being involved in terrorist organizations in Italy and Egypt and will be extradited to Italy.
