BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will pay an official visit to China on April 25-29 and attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
The following is a brief profile of the chancellor.
Kurz was born in Vienna, the capital of Austria, in August 1986. He was elected and sworn in as Austrian chancellor in December 2017.
He was chosen in July 2017 to head the conservative People's Party, which later won the legislative election in October of the same year.
Kurz became foreign minister in December 2013 after being chosen as the state secretary for integration in the Interior Ministry in 2011.
