TOKYO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks declined Friday morning following a weak lead from Wall Street overnight and as investors looked to square away positions before the 10-day Golden Week holiday here.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 152.34 points, or 0.68 percent, from Thursday to 22,155.24.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 12.68 points, or 0.78 percent, at 1,607.60.
Nonferrous metal, iron and steel, and metal product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
