MINSK, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko urged the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) not to ignore existing problems within the bloc.

There are many problems that could not be ignored, the Belarusian president said at a meeting with visiting Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly George Tsereteli in Minsk.

"You have to agree that we have accumulated a lot of problems in our common home that need to be solved: both Nagorno-Karabakh and Transnistria, many other less significant and resounding problems," Lukashenko said.

He noted that there had been no meetings between heads of state for a long time at the OSCE where leaders could discuss current issues and try to find a way out of the situation.

The OSCE could count on Belarusian support as well as honesty and sincerity in all areas, Lukashenko added.

For his part, Tsereteli said the OSCE is ready for closer cooperation with Belarus.
