SOUTH AFRICA-PRETORIA-YOUNG SCIENTISTS-EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Daan du Toit, Deputy Director-General in the South African Department of Science and Technology, speaks during a send-off ceremony hosted by the Chinese embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, April 30, 2019. A group of seven young South African scientists will soon start spending time at China's leading technology institutions, conducting research with Chinese scientists for 6 to 12 months. The seven scientists benefited from the South Africa-China Young Scientist Exchange Program signed by the two countries in 2017 to give young researchers from both countries an opportunity to share knowledge and develop skills.
