SKOPJE, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Three people suspected of involving in drug trafficking were arrested after a police operation on Thursday night in the capital city Skopje, Interior Ministry of North Macedonia said in a press release on Friday.
According to the press release, another suspect is still at large. During the operation, the police also seized a considerable amount of cocaine, weapons, luxury vehicles and other materials.
The police operation came after an over three-month investigation into the four-member organized criminal group. The criminal group is accused of being involved in a large cocaine purchase, distribution and sale in the areas of Skopje as well as in other cities.
"Through the sale of cocaine, the group earned large amount of money, which they invested in buying luxury cars, homes and other property," the press release said.
