SeaWatch rescues 65 migrants off Libya 'Libya, Malta, Italia, Netherlands informed, no response'

(ANSA) - Rome, May 15 - German migrant rescue NGO SeaWatch on Wednesday said it had rescued 65 migrants off Libya. The rescue took place 30 nautical miles, or 60 kilometres, from the Libyan coast, it said. The struggling migrant boat was spotted by a civil reconnaissance plane, it said. SeaWatch said Libya, Malta, Italy and the Netherlands "have been informed, with no response". It said "in the Mediterranean witnesses are dropping, but not departures". Interior Minister and anti-migrant League party leader Matteo Salvini has sealed off Italy's ports to migrant NGO rescue ships.
