HANOI, May 18 (Xinhua) -- The 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) concluded its 10th meeting here on Saturday, completing all items of the agenda and reaching high consensus on important issues.

CPVCC General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong said the meeting was a success as it touched upon various topics, focusing on preparations for all-level party congresses towards the 13th National Party Congress slated for early 2021, Vietnam News Agency reported.

Most of CPVCC members agreed with proposals presented by the committee's political bureau, he said, adding that all members consented to adopt the meeting's resolution.

He stressed the need to promptly draft documents which will be submitted to the 11th meeting of the CPVCC slated for later this year.

Earlier, members of the CPVCC discussed draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Party Congress, including a draft political report, a draft report on the 10-year implementation of the 2011 Platform, one on the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy for 2011-2020, and another on party building and the execution of the party's statutes.

Those documents need to show the attention to building a pure and strong party and political system, promoting the great national unity and addressing major relations such as those between reform, stability and development, and between economic and political reforms, the committee said.

The committee noted that preparations for all-level party congresses should go in tandem with the fulfillment of regular tasks, with heed paid to issues of public concern such as the management of the use of land, natural resources and public assets, the gap of wealth, environmental pollution, corruption and wastefulness.
