CAIRO, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi welcomed on Monday more cooperation with the U.S. petroleum and natural gas company Noble Energy, the presidency office said in a statement.
The president met with Noble Energy CEO David Stover on means of expanding the U.S. energy firm's activities in Egypt, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
He highlighted "the strategic relations and partnership between Egypt and the United States, hoping these ties will be further promoted to achieve joint development goals."
Hailing the firm's great reputation, Sisi underlined the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation with Noble Energy, and promised to remove all obstacles hindering its operations in Egypt.
Stover praised the current positive investment climate in Egypt and the country's promising vision for achieving comprehensive economic development.
He also stressed that Egypt is among countries that are prioritized for future investments by his firm.
