YANGON, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Three students were awarded at the final round of 18th Chinese Bridge, a Chinese language and culture proficiency competition, for college students in Yangon region held at the China Cultural Center here on Saturday.
Under the theme of “One World, One Family”, 10 finalists from universities took part at the competition under three categories including speeches, dubbing and talent.
The 18th competition in Yangon region was organized by the Chinese embassy in Myanmar.
Khin Yi Win from Yadanarbon University won the first prize and Nan Su Thet Sandy from Dagon University, Thin Thazin Aung from National Management Degree College were awarded second and third prizes, respectively.
The final first prize winners of Yangon and Mandalay regions will represent Myanmar in China’s final competition, and the two second prize winners will be observers.
Organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters, China, the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese proficiency competitions have been held since 2002.
