TOKYO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) on Friday warned of mudslides and floods as torrential rain pounds the Chugoku and Kyushu regions in Japan's west and southwest.

An evacuation advisory order has been issued for districts in Hiroshima City in western Japan, owing to the heavy rain causing a risk of mudslides, local media reported Friday.

According to Japan's public broadcaster NHK, the evacuation order covers the districts of Funairi and Eba in Hiroshima's Naka Ward.

The severity of the warning is level 4 on the scale which peaks at 5.

According to NHK, all residents are being ordered to evacuate immediately by the city.

A similar warning has been issued in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

A front and low pressure system are causing unstable weather conditions, the JMA said, with 58 mm per hour of rainfall logged in the city of Kitakyushu on Friday morning.
