Cyclonic wind blows off advertising hoarding in Mumbai, killing 1, injuring 3

MUMBAI, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Cyclonic winds in Mumbai blew off advertising hoarding, killing a 62-year-old man at the city's Churchgate station while in another incident three women were injured in suburban Bandra on Wednesday.

The old man died after a part of the cement sheet hoarding fell on him, local police official said.

In another incident, an acrylic sheet hoarding fell on three women at suburban Bandra. All three were admitted to hospital for treatment and were in stable condition.

India's west coast is brewing for cyclone to land in the state of Gujarat on Thursday afternoon and the winds and rains have been forecasted in the adjacent state of Maharashtra, where Mumbai is located.
