TEGUCIGALPA, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Six people died in a traffic accident involving a tourist vehicle in northern Honduras, traffic officials said Sunday.
The small tourist vehicle crashed into a wall due to excessive speed in the municipality of El Porvenir, the highway patrol said in a statement.
Traffic accidents are the second largest cause of death in Honduras, having claimed more than 300 lives so far this year.
In 2018, a total of 1,597 people died as a result of traffic accidents in the country.
