GARDEZ, Afghanistan, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Four civilians were injured as a mine went off in Zarmat district of the eastern Paktia province on Tuesday, provincial police spokesman Sardar Wali Tabasam said.

According to the official, the explosive device, placed on a cart, exploded in Zarmat bazaar at around noon, wounding four civilians including a lady and three men.

Although, no group has claimed responsibility, the official didn't rule out the Taliban involvement, saying the militant group could be behind the incident to terrorize the people.
