KIEV, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's Constitutional Court ruled on Thursday that President Volodymyr Zelensky's order to dissolve parliament and hold early elections was constitutional, Ukrinform news agency quoted its sources in the courtroom as saying on Thursday.
Eleven judges supported the ruling while five voted against it out of a total of 16 judges present at the constitutional court hearing, according to the news agency.
Zelensky signed a decree on the early termination of powers of the Verkhovna Rada, parliament of Ukraine, and the appointment of early elections on May 21, the next day after his inauguration.
The snap parliamentary elections will be held in Ukraine on July 21.
