CAIRO, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Egypt condemned on Saturday a deadly bombing attack that targeted a mosque in the east of the Iraqi capital Baghdad a day earlier.
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the Egyptian government and people stand by the government and people of Iraq to confront all forms of terrorism and extremism.
The ministry also extended its condolences to the families of the victims while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
At least three people were killed and more than 15 others injured on Friday in a bombing attack at a Shiite mosque in eastern Baghdad, according to a source of the Iraqi Interior Ministry.
