Tokyo stocks flat in morning as global trade concern remains

TOKYO, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks were almost flat on Monday morning, with uncertainty remaining over global trade dispute.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 19.91 points, or 0.09 percent, from Friday to 21,278.55.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, was up 0.34 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,546.24.

Textile and apparel and oil and coal product issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
