JAKARTA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Bank of China (BOC) Jakarta Branch signed on Tuesday a cooperation document with an Indonesian Chinese education agency to provide support to local students.
The document was signed by President of BOC Jakarta Branch Zhang Chaoyang and Chairman of Jakarta Chinese Education Coordination Agency Arifin Zain.
"BoC Jakarta Branch is committed to supporting education and cultural exchanges, cooperation between China and Indonesia with a high sense of social responsibility," Zhang said in the signing session.
The signing was witnessed by Cultural Affairs Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia Zhou Bin.
Arifin Zain said his institution would actively take part in efforts to promote friendly exchanges between Indonesia and China.
