JAKARTA, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Judging panel in Indonesia's highest justice institution, the Constitutional Court (MK), rejected on Thursday the poll lawsuit lodged by President Joko Widodo's rival, securing the win of the incumbent candidate to govern the nation in his second presidential term.

The rejection was read by MK Chairman Anwar Usman to end the indictment reading process since noon in the day at the MK premises.

"Rejecting the plaintiffs' lawsuit on entire cases," Usman said in the evening here.

The MK ruling reinstates presidential poll results initially announced by the General Election Commission (KPU) that put President Widodo and his running mate Ma'ruf Amin as the winner of presidential election.

Usman said the ruling was based on the facts that appeared in the legal proceeding process at the MK related to the lawsuit filed in by President Widodo pairing's rival, Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Sandiaga Uno, for their poll fraud claims.

Usman added that MK judges have also considered the accounts of witnesses, experts and lawyers of the two competing sides throughout the legal proceedings process to issue the final ruling.

In his lawsuit, Prabowo's lawyer filed in several cases to support their claims that massive, structured and systematic frauds favoring the incumbent candidate have occurred in the poll process.

The KPU announced last month that President Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin pairing has won 55.5 percent vote in the April presidential election that equals to 85,607,362. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno pairing earned the remaining 44.5 percent vote, or 68,650,239 votes in the poll.

After the MK ruling, the KPU was scheduled to officially name President Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin as Indonesia's president and vice president for 2019-2024 period with sworn-in ceremony scheduled in October this year.
