FRANKFURT, July 2 (Xinhua) -- A gala was held in Dusseldorf, Germany on Monday as an early celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
More than 40 overseas Chinese associations and other China-related institutions in Germany organized or attended the event.
The gala featured chorus, musical ensemble, dance and poetry reading, as well as lively dragon-dance and Kung Fu performance.
Dusseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, one of the most densely populated German states and home to about a quarter of all overseas Chinese living in Germany.
