CAIRO, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Egypt condemned on Tuesday the deadly attack that targeted a camp of Niger's army in the west of the country.
The Egyptian government and people stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and people of Niger in combating terrorism, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also called on the international community to intensify efforts against the acts targeting security and stability across the world.
At least 18 soldiers were killed in the attack on Monday, which is suspected to be carried out by Islamist militants.
