KHARTOUM, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Transitional Military Council (TMC) on Saturday pledged to implement an agreement reached on Friday with the opposition Freedom and Change Alliance to establish transitional authorities.

"We believe there is no loser in the agreement ... The military council promises to protect what has been agreed on and ensure its implementation," said Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, chairman of TMC, in a speech broadcast by Sudan TV.

The agreement would help achieve stability and develop projects, fight corruption and establish the state laws, he added.

On Friday, the TMC and the opposition Freedom and Change Alliance reached a deal on establishing transitional authorities to jointly govern the country.

The deal was reached after a two-day negotiation between the two sides in the capital Khartoum through the mediation of the African Union and Ethiopia.
