KIEV, July 8 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and another injured in a light airplane crash in the Poltava region, central Ukraine, the regional police department said on Monday.
A private single-engined Piper light aircraft crashed Sunday at around 3:32 p.m. (1232 GMT) near Plekhov village in the Poltava region. According to local police, one was killed and another was hospitalized.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
