SINGAPORE, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.33 percent, or 10.96 points, to close at 3,340.42.
A total of 1.22 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 973.22 million Singapore dollars (about 715.34 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 193 to 188.
The STI index went down 0.14 percent, or 4.77 points, to close at 3,329.46 Tuesday.
