ULAN BATOR, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga submitted his proposals for a constitutional amendment to the parliament on Tuesday, the president's press office said.

The draft bill includes a proposal on increasing the number of parliament members to 108 (now 76 members) and extending their term of office from the present four-year-tenure to five.

Among the proposals of the head of state there is a constitutional ban on the ownership of real estate by political parties. Therefore, the current building of the ruling Mongolian People's Party and the building of Mongolia's opposition Democratic Party now under construction can be transferred to the state if the draft law on amending the Constitution is approved, the press office said in a statement.

The proposals first will be considered by the parliamentary group from the Mongolian People's Party and the Parliamentary Standing Committees.
