BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Brunei is seeing the festive bazaars running for two weeks in all four districts of Brunei, in conjunction with the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah's 73rd birthday, attracting thousands of local and overseas visitors.

As an annual tradition, the festive bazaars are part of the festivities for the Sultan's birthday celebrations. They are organised by the respective authorities in each district, and the largest bazaar is located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the country's capital, featuring discount and bargain prices on goods ranging from local fruits, food snacks and desserts, clothing and other items.

For the next several nights until July 31, the bazaars will provide a colourful atmosphere of sights and sounds to Bandar Seri Begawan.

While local traders are seizing the opportunity to earn extra money, both local and foreign visitors are converging in the capital for bargains, family outings and also for the weekly onstage performances especially held for the Sultan's 73rd birthday celebrations.

The Sultan birthday celebration is a national event held annually, which usually lasted about a month.
