YANGON, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar President's Office on Tuesday assigned U Soe Win, the Planning and Finance Union Minister, to concurrently take the position of Union Minister for Industry.
The move came after the resignation of former Union Minister for Industry U Khin Maung Cho, out of his own volition, was approved on July 26.
U Soe Win was nominated for the post of Planning and Finance Minister by President Win Myint and the designation was unanimously approved at the parliament in May 2018.
U Soe Win has more than 46 years' experiences of working in finance and banking sectors for both home and abroad and specializes in taxation, investment laws and banking.
