SKOPJE, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, signed a decree for the promulgation of the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between North Macedonia and Serbia on establishing a joint traffic control at the Tabanovce-Preshevo border crossing, in northern part of the country, the press office of the President said on Monday.
Pendarovski expressed his belief that the joint border management will contribute positively to the further promotion of the bilateral relations between the two countries, facilitate the transit of people and goods, as well as significantly reduce the waiting time at the border crossings.
"President Pendarovski expects that the same example of joint border management will be implemented in the future in other border crossings with the neighbouring countries," said the press release.
The agreement on joint traffic control on the Tabanovce-Preshevo border crossing was signed by the governments of North Macedonia and Serbia in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia on July 12.
Tabanovce is a village located in the north of North Macedonia, at the border with Serbia, situated 8 km from the nearest town, Kumanovo.
