TIRANA, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three military aircraft from the operational unit of the Special Operations Command of the United States (US) Air Force conducted training flights in the Albanian airspace, Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhacka said on Tuesday in a post in the social network Facebook.

From July 29 to Aug. 5, three MC-130J Commando II aircraft and their crews, deployed at the military section of Tirana International Airport, conducted training flights in Albania in support of special operations in Europe.

Accompanied by the Charge d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Tirana, Leyla Moses-Ones, Minister Xhacka visited the troops and boarded on one of the MC-130J Commando II aircraft, where she was introduced to the capabilities of the aircraft.

"Three MC-130J Commando II aircraft and their crews have used our infrastructure and airspace for training purposes these days, which is expected to improve significantly with the investment in Kucova Air Base," Xhacka wrote.

According to the minister, a group from the Albanian Air Force pilots are being trained in U.S. at this moment to use Black Hawk helicopters.
