BANGKOK, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha confirmed on Wednesday that Bangkok's bombing suspects have been found as natives of southern border provinces of Thailand.

During his visit to Yala province, Prayut said four suspected perpetrators of the multiple bombings in the capital had been arrested and found by police as natives of the southern border provinces.

The prime minister quoted security units as saying the incidents were premeditated and perpetrated by a group of 15 suspects, including the four who have been arrested in the South.

He said the police were investigating the detained suspects, believed to be connected with those who currently remain at large, and finding out the motives behind the untoward incidents.

Bangkok's bombings on Aug. 2 separately occurred near BTS skytrain's Chong Nonsi station, on the sidewalk of an alley in Rama IX area, in the premises of the Government Center in Chaeng Wattana area and outside the Office of Permanent Secretary for Defense in Muang Thong Thani area. The sidewalk bombing injured a few street sweepers.
