MOSCOW, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A man opened fire at the Russian National Guard patrolmen during an ID check, injuring one of them in Russia's Tyumen, TASS news agency reported on Saturday.
After throwing his backpack at and shooting at the approaching servicemen, the suspect was detained and disarmed while trying to flee, TASS said, citing the National Guard's spokesman Valery Gribakin.
The injured officer's life is not in danger and the suspect has been hospitalized due to leg wounds, Gribakin said, who did not reveal the identity of the attacker.
