ULAN BATOR, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Archeologists have discovered four ancient wares in Mongolia, three with clotted cream and one with clarified butter, authorities said on Friday.
A joint team of archeologists from Mongolia and the United States discovered the wares at the Khorig site in Ulaan-Uul soum in the northwestern Khuvsgul province, which dated back between 700 and 800 years ago, Jamsranjav Bayarsaikhan, head of research center at the National Museum of Mongolia, told Xinhua.
Bayarsaikhan said the wares were "perfectly preserved in permafrost" at the site, believing that the findings are new discoveries in the field of archeology.
Archeologists have also made a large number of important findings that date back to the Mongol Empire at the Koring site in Ulaan-Uul soum, he added.
