BANGKOK, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- A van collision in eastern Thailand killed 11 and injured four on Sunday, local media reported.
The chartered van was carrying Laotian workers from Sa Kaeo Province for visa renewal at the Chanthaburi immigration checkpoint.
Police said on TV that they suspected the van driver might have dozed off behind the wheel as the van went into the opposite lane where it crashed head-on with the oncoming truck.
Rescue workers were seen pulling the injured out of the truck. Ambulance van also rushed to the scene.
